National Coming Out Day

National Coming Out Day is a great opportunity to come out if you're queer, or to come out as a straight ally or educate yourself on queer issues.

It started at UE in 2007, PRIDE when hosted a Coming Out Day panel discussion, where people could come and hear the stories of other students who have come out and ask questions or talk about their own experiences.

Since 2007, the Coming Out Day celebrations have grown. There is a National Coming Out Day Dinner hosted by Tri-State Alliance, a National Coming Out Day panel of professors and students discussing their coming out experiences, and a PRIDE meeting where students can "come out" if they choose or just participate in the festivities.
